My first ever sculpture carved back in the 1980's. Its made from apple wood and a copy of a soap stone head I was given as a gift by my parents. I started another carving shortly after based on a photograph of Tom Waits sitting on some steps but I never finished it and didn't carve again for another 20 years or so.
