A piece that draws inspiration from Francis Bacon and his use of blood red and black colours in many of his paintings, especially his self-portrait studies. The white abstract form has taken on an organic nature, resembling internal organs, something dissected. Applying pure colours and avoiding the use of white or black paint has ensured the surface has retained a sheen with the reflection bringing a white colouration to the 3D surface.
