Howard
A bold palette drawing inspiration from Howard Hodgkin and his powerful and intense use of colour. The palette knife brings a texture and depth to the colours which have retained their purity and sheen. The colour composition changes with each viewpoint as the viewer walks around the piece. Oranges and greens come and go, combine and separate as reds, yellows and purples come in and out. Background colours come forward through the hole and recede again. Some views are multi-coloured and intricate, others simple blocks of plain colour.
