A change of direction mid carving took me down a new creative path. Starting with the idea of creating another one in the erosion series directed by the shape of the starting stone and its imperfections, part way through I saw a head with long flowing hair emerging so I went with the flow and end up here. The angle of the head accentuates the flow of the hair which in turn frames the face to give a flowing movement. The abstract nature of the face and flat facial features creates a dramatic jaw line that contrasts the soft flowing hair. The imperfections in the stone work to create a choker around the neck.
